Our Story

ERIC SHAW is a dynamic Songwriter-singer--guitar-banjo player, from Northern Virginia. Who cut his musical teeth in Honky Tonks on the East Coast . His lyrics exude passion and his music is as exciting as the wild nature that he grew up around. Although Eric writes songs for other Artist to record, In 2011 Eric Joined up with Jennifer Allen, The group Soho Down was formed. With the addition of Jessie Kohls, Mike Farris, Robert Bridges and later Gregg Park (his childhood friend)on guitar, the band started to really click! By the pen of Eric & Jennifer their Country/Rockin' Blues sound shines. A mix of new country with some traditional and a touch of Blue's soul that's just Right!  Their Nashville recorded EP, was released in 2015 on ITunes, and the next EP/Album is coming in September 2018

SoHo Down has a sound that comes to life in a blend of rooted country, additive pop melodies and a rock n' roll attitude! The band was formed in 2007 by Jennifer Allen (daughter of Dick Allen from Mel & The Meatheads Band) and Eric Shaw (son of shop teacher, John Shaw). With the addition of Jessie Kohls and the girl’s bodacious harmonies, the band began to gain a reputation as the Wilson Sisters of Country Music and have attracted fans of Miranda Lambert, Johnny Cash and Jack Daniels
